Did not have enough time to prepare template, so will post free preview of all games tonight. Only one pick has been choosed, but probably you will be able to take something interesting at in-play markets after reading my analysis.
Zalgiris – Panathinaikos
Greek team traveled to Lithuania with all players on board, but Ian Vouyoukas suffered from a disease and did not participate in training. He is questionable, but that doesn’t matter because he is role player in X.Pasqual system. For the hosts Paulius Jankunas had some health problems (injured leg), but should be available for Sarunas Jasikevicius.
Both teams are hard to trust. Zalgiris is 1-3 ATS at home, while PAO is 1-4 against the spread on the road. In such situation it’s better to go with value side and it is on hosts at least while they goes as underdog. Zalgiris is playoff contender in my rating, while PAO is 5-7 place team, so it’s a litle bit strange to see Greek team as road favorite. Market already goes against PAO and I have to agree with it.
I see close evenly matched game here with close end, where all be decided by small details and players experience.
Maccabi Tel Aviv – Valencia
Valencia still without Antoine Diot, Joan Sastre, Alberto Abalde, Bojan Dubljevic and Latavious Williams. Only nine first team players (plus the young Josep Puerto and Triggvy Hlinason) are available for Txus Vidorreta and that of course make some hurt to team plans, because Sastre and Dubljevic are important players and hard to substitute.
Maccabi on the run with 3-1 ATS record in last 4 home games. They are not deep and high quality team and collapse at any given day, but looking at Valencia record in away games it’s hard to see real chances for spaniards to win in Tel Aviv. However, I think we should not take Maccabi at current odds too, because there is no value.
Total is difficult to bet on, because Valencia’s game often ends with high shooting percentage (1.14 pts/attack on the road). Game pace should low (around 141 attacks) but at 1.14 efficiency it might go to 160 pts at the end.
Baskets Bamberg – CSKA Moscow
My line: (+11/164.5)
CSKA without Vorontsevic and Hunter (+Westermann long term out). Bamberg is one of the weakest team in Euroleague, but they did some miracles at home problematic team like Baskonia (under Prigioni), Barcelona and Valencia. CSKA should not allow Brose to comeback from double digit deficit and win this game quite comfortable.
Brose without Elias, Mitrovic, Rubit and Taylor. Last 2 players are important missings and they were a reason why line moved to -10.
I think that CSKA might win in Bamberg by double digits as they did against Efes and Crvena Zvezda… You can try CSKA (-8), but I think it’s more professional to wait slow start from CSKA and take them at better odds. Brose has very short rotation and CSKA should use this advantage in 40 minutes game.
Saski Baskonia – Unicaja
My line: (-5.5/156.5)
The losses could mark this duel , since Joan Plaza has the doubt of Jeff Brooks and Nemanja Nedovic, while Pedro Martinez will not be able to count on Ilimane Diop, Jordan McRae and Patricio Garino, who could join the Uruguayan Jayson Granger, doubt until last minute for a sprained ankle. In addition, Dejan Musli stayed in Malaga pending to resolve his transfer to Brose Bamberg. According to reports Nedovic wanted to return to the field immidiately after getting injured. So seems his ankle should be fine and he might participate in todays game.
Unicaja is uncomfortable opponent for Baskonia. They had won here in last 2 arrivals. Baskonia still in the building process, while Unicaja playing 3rd season under Plaza. Malaga is sometimes is hard to predict, because they don’t have top class players in the roster, but as for me they are the same level as Baskonia right now. With or without Nedovic they should fight for points in Vittoria.
Pick: Unicaja +7,5 @ 1.92 Pinnacle
Milan – Khimki
Khimki lost T.Robinson, but recovered Honneycut and looked very solid against Brose. Milan is not easy court to play. S.Piangiani team is 4-1 ATS at home and if Milan would go as dogs here I would consider a bet on home team, because Khimki doesn’t impress me this season. Total line is too open to bet, because Milan games are usually slow but with high efficiency.
I don’t have any idea for betting here. Probably best option to skip it.
