Friday Night NBA 16/11/12

Today we got a lot of matches in the league and few very interesting bets that I would like to focus on.

Philadelphia 76ers – Utah Jazz

Sixers lost 7 of their last 8 home games. This was one of the better home teams in the league.

Today they play Utah, one of the worst road teams in the league.

This is home dominant series and I strongly believe that the slap that Sixers got from Pistons, losing at home, was a wake up call.

Sixers as I predicted before the season, lost a lot of power trading Iggy for always injured Bynum. But, they still got a very good coach. Huge depth and very talented back court and very athletic team – against one of the least athletic teams in the league.

Most wins and covers Utah got so far were against old and unatheltic teams – Lakers, Boston, Dallas, Phoenix, Toronto.

Playing athletic teams like Denver (very similar to Sixers), Memphis and San Antonio (and this new Spurs are an athletic team with amazingly athletic swingmans) resulted in big losses.

Can’t imagine Mo Williams, Hayward, Foye and Tinsley facing Jrue, J-Rich, Wright and Young.

Sixers can lose the battle on boards, because they face very strong and high Jazz front court, but I believe they will outgrind the Jazz and win even easier than many expect.

93 – 84 is my predicted score here.

Sixers -1, 1.90 odds – 7 units play – Pinnacle

New Orleans Hornets – Oklahoma City Thunder

Easy bet for me here. Oklahoma are 15 – 5 ATS off a loss going back to previous season and 2 – 0 ATS this season.

They got humiliated at home by Memphis and now facing the very young Hornets.

I like thisNew Orleansteam, but Oklahom almost just as young, but with a lot more experience and I fully expect them to win here.

The line isn’t low, but looking at teams H2H, I believe thatOklahomawill win around double digits here.

99 – 88 sounds about right here

Thunder -6 – 1.90 odds – 5 units play – Pinnacle

LA Lakers – Phoenix Suns

D’Antoni, Lakers new coach, already with the team and while he is still not on the bench, he already gave to his players new philosophy.

He says that he expects the Lakers to score 110 – 115 points each game and I believe him.

If we add to that, the always running Suns and Kobe who is always scorching Phoenix, I believe him even more.

Lakers and Phoenix have great Over history playing each other (4 of the last 5 games between the teams ended with an Over) and Lakers at home been lately really good on offense, topping 100 points mark in 3 of their last 4 games.

Lakers 112 – Suns 99 sounds about right here.

Lakers Over 104.5 points – 1.91 odds – 7 units play – William Hill/ 5Dimes
