Today we got a game between two teams that ended their streaks. Portland ended 7 games skid with two wins against LA teams, while Bulls got their winning streak (of 4 games) snapped by the Warriors.
Portland – Chicago
I like Bulls chances in this game. I will repeat it for I don’t know what time – I don’t like Portland this season. I still believe they are the weakest team in the West and I fully expect Rockets, Kings, Pelicans and Lakers to move past them till the end of the season.
Portland wins when they catch a rival on the crunches (Clippers example) or just when they are catching a day.
I can claim easily that any team that catches a day in this league, can win any team. The level of talent on any team (even the Sixers) is incredible and when everything is going that team’s way – nothing can stop them.
It’s pretty obvious that the barometer of this team is Lillard. In wins, he is +14 and in losses -7. Another player with similar numbers both in +/- and in points average is McCollum. He was very good in the series against Memphis, but still, he is just not 20+ points average player in this league, even on a thin on talent roster as the Blazers present.
I hate to fade Blazers at home as dogs, but I just feel that this is the team where my opinion is really different from public/ bookies view and that my opinion is closer to the truth.
As for the Bulls, this is a team that I actually feel I’m doing pretty good job on reading. Bulls are 8 – 4 this season and coming off a loss to the Warriors. Bulls have yet to lose two in a row. I have little zero that they will have losing streak, but I doubt it will be tonight.
Bulls play only one game this week and that’s today. They had very big rest after the game in Oakland and will have plenty of rest before the game with the Pacers.
Playing off a loss, with nothing getting in a way of focusing on winning the Blazers?
No reasons for Bulls not to win and cover pretty short number.
Bulls -3, 1.97 odds – 7 units play – Pinnacle
