Tonight I want to focus on Wizards – Magic game, that I believe offers a nice bet for us.
Washington Wizards – Orlando Magic
The teams met twice and each team won at its home court, but Wizards covered both ATS lines.
Orlando won the Wizards, with Glen Davis healthy and today he could return as well and play the Wizards (something that he didn’t do in Wizards win in Washington, two weeks ago).
Having said that, I still will take Wizards, despite the fact that taking them as favorites makes me a bit sick.
Wizards are 0 – 2 this season as favorites. Orlando are really great road underdog, but most of the time, they lose, yet cover – something that due to a very short line today, isn’t likely.
Wizards got everyone back. Wall, Nene, Ariza, Booker – all playing. It will take some time to find that team chemistry and get back in shape, but I will be looking for chances to bet the Wizards in the next few games.
Looking at match ups, if Crawford is out for the Wizards, Magic have much better back court. Nelson, Afflalo and Reddick coming of the bench are much better options than rusty Wall, unstable rookie Beal, Price and whoever they got from NDBL to back them up (Temple).
But, looking a bit deeper and to the front court, we see Ariza, Booker, Nene, Okafor, Webster, Seraphin – all very capable players. On the other hand, Nicholson, Jones and Vucevic – don’t make too good of a first impression and while Vucevic is a beast, I really feel that Wizards front court got a very big edge here.
To put money on Wizards third win in a row doesn’t sit well with me, but I think that Wizards are the right bet here, so that what I will take, though as a small bet.
Wizards -2, 2.02 odds – 6 units play – Pinnacle
