Many games tonight and many of them I like, and I will focus on two here.
Washington Wizards – New Orleans Pelicans
John Wall, Wizards leader and star player, said it best:
“We know it’s a two- or three-game spread from the third spot and it’s two or three games away from being in the eighth spot or out of the playoffs, so it’s definitely a tight race right now,” Wizards point guard John Wall told reporters. “We’ve just got to find a way to get on a streak. We haven’t been on a good streak. I think it’s time for our team.”
I couldn’t say it better myself.
Wizards shot themselves in the foot too many times, losing home games they were suppose to win. It’s hard to bet on it not to continue, but I always believe that a good team, that plays well on the road, should balance itself and play well at home as well.
Pelicans play B2B, spot that they do not excel in and with all the respect to Davis, one of the most fun players to watch, Wizards have great match ups in all positions, but the SG position and with Gordon being unbalanced and unpredictable a bit too often the last two seasons, it will take a truly great game from him I believe, to give Pelicans a chance in this game.
Washington -6, 1.91 odds – 7 units play – Pinnacle
Utah Jazz – Minnesota Timberwolves
Minnesota in a must win position if they want to battle for the playoffs and looking at the two games they played this season against the Jazz, this is a task they should accomplish well.
Utah plays B2B, while Wolves play off a rest, very important for their short roster, especially considering the fact that the difference between Wolves first unit and second unit is enormous.
Utah’s meltdown in the final quarter against Portland shows either tanking mode or very poor mental condition, against teams in must win mode and either way, it makes the bet on Minnesota stronger.
Minnesota -4, 1.92 odds – 7 units play – Sbobet
