NBA Picks Saturday Night 26/01/13

Very interesting card and many leans, but only two final bets for tonight’s card and few leans as wel.

Houston Rockets – Brooklyn Nets

I like both Rockets TT Under here and Nets to win and decided to bet the Nets here.
Rockets made a small upset, winning as underdogs in New Orleans, while Nets played absolutely terrible defense and got blown away by the mediocre Memphis with poor offense.
Both teams are poor in B2B spots, but while I rate Nets as second best team in the East, Houston are a lottery team in the West in my eyes and with one coming of upset win and other off a blowout loss, I will back the better team that should have gotten the wake call they needed last night.
JJ and D-Will are just as good of a back court, if not better than Lin and Harden back court, while Nets have better front court and more depth.
Nets +4, 1.93 odds – 7 units play – Pinnacle

SA Spurs – Phoenix Suns

Not much to write here that I didn’t write already. Suns under new coach are 2 – 0 both SU and ATS, both as underdogs, on the road against the Kings and at home against depleted Clippers. Today they face their biggest test, but get line accordingly.
Spurs tonight probably without Duncan and Pop again, though it’s still not 100%.
They come of a very nice win in Dallas, team that been in good form, but somehow, Spurs managed to win them easily in the last three games.
Spurs should feel pretty good about themselves and I doubt they will go out of their way to demolish the Suns and win them by double digits. Can’t rule it out of course, but I will bet on the fact that Suns should be much closer to another upset win, than to getting blown away.
Spurs should score between 96 – 101 points, while Suns should score between 91 – 95 points.
Suns +9.5, 1.93 odds – 7 units play – 5Dimes

Worth noting:

Over 192 in NYK – nothing like season long homestand to get Sixers offense going and improve their record. On the other hand, Felton should improve Knicks offense and the percentage drop of all Knicks players without him is more than a coincidence.

Portland to win – We get evens money, with Portland playing at home, wrapping up 5 games homestand, with 1 – 3 record so far. Clippers without CP3 and banged up Griffin and I think that the earlier line, was much more accurate. I would set this game as -3 for Portland.

Denver -13 – It’s always a great idea to bet against a team coming to Denver, playing second leg of B2B. Kings right now are worse in the league and with Denver getting zero spots on All Star roster, Nuggets can be looking to beat up somebody.

Charlotte -3 – Bobcats are 3 losses away from setting NBA record for most straight home losses. Wolves are a very depleted team, playing B2B and this is got to be the perfect chance to stay clear of this very unflattering record.

System bets:

Under 46 points in Utah, 1.91 odds – 6 units play – 5Dimes
Wolves +1, 1.91 odds – 9 units play – WillHill
Golden State +1, 1.91 odds – 7 units play – WillHill

Good luck everybody!!!
